Salem

I'm going to Salem next week, which apparently is near Boston. I always thought Salem was in the center of Massachusetts, for some reason.

My boyfriend's brother wants to go to Salem and have us all to dress up as X-men characters, but I couldn't find any at the store. I did find other costumes of female super heroes, and super villains though, but they were skimpy, and it's too cold for that. I know they're already wearing revealing outfits, but these costumes were skimpier, like, I'm pretty sure it was lingerie, and not a costume. Snrk.

That's all, I just wanted to bump off the old journal. Luigi's Mansion was great though. Also, note me about the status of your commission, if you're wondering about it.

:invisible: Once again, I greatly apologize for my inactivity here, for the past few months. Sometimes I just don't feel confident in myself to show up around here. I feel like I have to create something amazing, and well, let's face it, I'm far from amazing, but I'm slowly improving. O_o

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to Luigi's Mansion 2, but I confess, I never played the first Luigi's Mansion. I just never got a hold of the game, but I've always wanted to play it. Anybody who's play it, what are your thoughts about the game? Why do you like the game so much? Don't worry about spoiling things for me, spoilers don't phase me. I've already watched plenty of gameplay videos anyway. :B

Commissions are still open, just send me a note. I accept payment through paypal. Read my previous journal for guidelines, or just note me and ask about it, I won't bite. I could really use the extra money, and the practice, as I'm in an art slump right now, so your support with be greatly appreciated. :heart:

:bulletblue: Backgrounds with landscape, architecture, or interior details are considered "complex/detailed backgrounds". Backgrounds with simple gradients, abstract designs, or textures are considered "simple backgrounds". Just thought I'd make that clear, so that there's no confusion.

(I just attempted to personalize my own journal, so I'm hoping this will work.)

So what kind of art do you like to see me draw? Is it fanart, or a certain character, what is it?

Happy New Year

Hope you're all as happy about the New Year as I am. I finally got some weight off my chest, so I feel like I can start fresh. I spent my New Year's at my boyfriend's house. I kind of can't wait to get home and scan all of these Mario sketches I did over the past few days. I drew these while watching my boyfriend play Paper Mario 64. I forgot how much I loved that game. :>

Some stuff and a tutorial

I'm finishing up a few projects right now, but they aren't done yet. Expect some long-overdue art trades in the next week or so, and....maybe some fanart, if I can get around to it. Until then, I'm going to submit some art I did over the past few months I was away from DA. There isn't much, but it's better than nothing.

Also, I've been getting a lot of request for sprite tutorials. I want to try to make one, but I don't know if I'm any good at making tutorials. XD

I always called it a grinder, and I'm from CT. I heard it's called a hoagie, sub, or hero everywhere else. Interesting. :)
